apart from give up.lol. Have posted this on records as well but who knows I am looking to establish the relationship between the McKERROW and DICKSON families from Douglas Lanarkshire. Alexander McKERROW b 1835 quotes on his marriage as his parents John McKERROW and Jean SLOAN. I have also found a 2nd marriage for John McKERROW b1816 with Christinna AITKEN. Now on the 1841 census I have found Alexander McKERROW(mistranscribed as Mesander) with the DICKSON family the head being James DICKSON b 1801 their son Walter DICKSON was witness as his wedding. Also on 1841 I found a James McKERROW in the house of James AITKEN b 1791 and a William McKERROW with the house of William SLOAN b1796 My great grandfather is James DICKSON McKERROW and was named after James DICKSON. So far the blood connection has eluded me and I am going around in circles. Any ideas please? |
