I have made a connection with someone I found here on GR, we both have our tree on the site but we don't know how to copy each others details to our respective trees. Is it possible to sort of copy and paste (for lack of a better term!) each others tree? I tried to have 2 windows open and go back and forth copying it all the slow way but it seems GR won't allow us to have 2 trees open at the same time so unless I buy another computer and sit it next to this one...there must be an easier (and cheaper!) way to do it lol. Hi Lynda, sorry, none that I know of. It's always been a slow person by person process. If you have family tree software on your puter ie legacy, you could get the other person to send you their tree in gedcom format, then you can merge it with your tree on the program and import to GR. If the program doesn't have merge capibilities, you should still be able to load the gedcom as a seperate tree. You will at least then be able to have two trees open at once, but it will still be a person by person process. Just remember, if you import a gedcom onto GR you will overwrite any existing information. It's safe to say I'm fairly computer illiterate though, so someone with more knowledge (not hard there) may be able to offer an easier solution. Rebs x
