Im not far from there either. Its a strange old place Kenninghall. You nearly get run down when you cross the only road as it doesnt have defined pavements or anything. Cant remember the pub. There is one in the little market square I think where a chip shop van pulls up on Fridays. Apart from that I think there is just one little general store. Lots of very old houses. Hi, just found this: Landlords of the Inn: MATTHEW WILDE & painter, plumber & glazier 1836 - 1845 JOHN BOWEN (41) & carrier 1851 ROBERT MARK & farmer 1861 & furniture broker 1883 1854 - 1892 NATHANIEL GARRETT 1896 - 1922 PERCY GEORGE BURBAGE 1925 The Norfolk Pubs site says it closed sometime after 1925. But it may be that the White Horse opened in the same premises as there only seems to have ever been 2 pubs there. Apparently the Red Lion is the oldest one. Kenninghall Pubs: Red Lion The East Church St Norwich, Kenninghall, NR16 2EP 01953 887849 White Horse Inn The Old White Horse/Market Pl Norwich, Kenninghall, NR16 2AH 01953 888857 |

Hi Everyone, I have manged to find a picture taken in abt 1910 on the norfolk pubs website. On the 1881pubs website it clarifies that Robert Mark lived there. Thanks Maggie. Irene, If you are able to see if the pub still exists or whether it is the old house that would be great. Nicky |

I live not far from Kenninghall, cannot think what the pub is called. I know there was two pubs and one is now a private house. I will look in the telephone book for you, get back to you. Irene ps Cannot find the pub in the telephone book, I will ask my friend tonight and get back to you tomorrow if you have not found out the details. Regards Irene |

I was wondering whether anybody knows if the Royal George Inn, Market Place in Kenninghall, Norfolk still exists. If it does and anybody lives in that area I would be really really grateful for any info or even a digi photo. Any help appreciated. Nicky |
