My dog Jayboy had to have an exploratory op yesterday. Only a small one for which he was sedated. So today he woke me early 5.30 am. after letting him out and 2 cuppas I set off for a walk with him and my 16 year old jack Russell, a walk which lasted 3 1/2 hrs. I took pics of early marsh orchid, ragged robin wild roses and ox eye daisy, my favourite name for this is moon penny. I got in totally relaxed and happy and it had blown away Jays cobwebs too. I will work indoors when the weather is bad and walk when it is good and s.d the housework. :-D Elaine.

I am a carer for a very awkward OH and I needed this space just me the dogs, the wildlife and the flowers. If you believe there is a greater being then this is where his church is. :-) Elaine.

S*d the Housework :-D Excellent philosophy - glad you are able to take a little time for yourself. Caring for someone is very difficult at the best of times, without awkward being thrown into the mix. Look after yourself and enjoy the open space :-)

As my granny (in service aged14) used to say
'The dust won't miss you - it will still be there tomorrow' :-D

Great philosophy Elaine, glad you and the dogs enjoyed the ramble, it sounds as tho you really were at peace with the world and it's wonders.

I can empathise with the awkward patient, altho yesterday mine was a bit happier. My son came round and painted the garden fence for him and the change of company and the feeling he was getting some of the garden chores done helped a lot. If it stays fine today, my lad will be back again to do some more work in the garden, funny how it's my lad spends the most time with o.h. and does most to help, when his own sons are far away getting on with their own lives. My lad picked up o.h.'s bike from being repaired so o.h. had a little ride out to see if he can manage with his dodgy thumb still strapped up, maybe now he will ride off into the sunset every now and then lol and give me some peace as well as getting exercise he and his diabetes have been badly missing.

Hope Jayboy will be ok and you will have the chance of many more lovely walks

love
Lizxx
