Carissa,

It might be better if you purchase the wedding certificate of Albert & Elizabeth, there is a possibility it has been mistranscribed, it should have both sets of parents names, where born, etc

Your can go through a transcription service like

http://www.joymurrin.com.au

where you can purchase cheaper

I can see those other births in Lithgo but havent posted them as the father doesnt have the middle initial 'H', it may be a different family?

I think you will need to send for some certificates to verify the information

Carissa

Carissa Report 2 Oct 2011 09:56

but i have spoken to the descendents of victoria and they hav the same parents..

Carissa

Carissa Report 2 Oct 2011 09:54

just from searching nsw bdm i think there is arthur H born in 1897 in redfern, victoria m 1902 in redfern, gladys 1907 in paddington,
there may also be agnes J in 1904 in lithgow, william 1895 in lithgow, john in 1898, frank in waterloo in 1910 of course not sure on any of them without certificates...

If you know of any other siblings to Alfred junior, can you please put them here

Carissa

Carissa Report 2 Oct 2011 08:51

and considering my grandmothers grandfather (alfreds son) was called george maybe he had been named after alfreds father hey...

Carissa

Carissa Report 2 Oct 2011 08:50

i had considered the george and clara one also.. i think it was between george and clara i think it fits the age range with the elizabeth poole born in forbes in 1869...
there was an alfred herbert born in 1876 in goulburn to charles joseph and eliza... and then the bridget and john on the death of alfrd herbert... so i am not sure which one is more likely..
but they were the 3 i had.

also if elizabeth had died in 1889 how would she have had her older children? however, if she had have had alfred junior in wellington in 1887 then it is possible it is her... unless alfred also had a sister called elizabeth.. eeek i need a rest lol looks like i will be buying some more certificates lol
TY

the redfern move i am not sure about,,, all i know is mary ann bodel moved there and lived there and in newtown for huge majority of her adult life.

also funnily enough, (not so funny back then i suppose) i found an alfred herbert murray on trove... i dont know who he is but he is in trouble for maliciously wounding someone called CLARA..........

You will be confused for awhile until you can get the rest of the family organised!!

???? Could this be the early death of Elizabeth

Reg No/Yr Murray Elizabeth Fathers Name Mothers Name District

14032/1889 Murray Elizabeth William Mary Wellington

You mentioned that they moved to Redfern, do you have any idea when?

Carissa

Carissa Report 2 Oct 2011 07:19

oh yes i cant believe i did that mejoy75 woops (see shes even confusing me now lol) thank goodness you are onto it!! haha thankyou xxx

Carissa

Carissa Report 2 Oct 2011 07:15

thnkyou ginny i think the alfred jh muray is actually alfred junior born in 1887 in wellington. i just cant find alfred seniors birth or marriage record.

i also had suspected the anne mahon marriage to richard clake would make sense as their son was born in 1848 but she has no E on the end of anne in all of the kids births just on the marriage cert (not that that is a biggie)

and also the death of alfred in redfern as the murrays did live in redfern later on.. so that really could be him with parents bridget and john...

and i had thought the entry for robert may be the same one too.

but have no idea about the others like robert bodel and anne jane mcadam marriage and marriage of elizabeht poole and alfred herbert murray
and their parents names, or if they werent born in oz where were they from, how do i look up ship lists? maybe?
or maybe that the albert murray marrying elizabth poole in wellington is actually alfred herbert murrays marriage to eliz poole. as they did have a son called alfred junior in same area that year...
yes hopefully someone can help
thankyou for replying i appreciate it
:-D

Carissa Report 2 Oct 2011 05:54

Hey guys I am back lol
i was wondering where I would start looking to find the marriage of Richard Clarke and Ann, who are parents of Hannah Clarke, born 1851

I would really like to find out where they were originally from and as i cannot find a marriage maybe they were married in another country.

Also the same goes for Robert Bodel/ Bodle and Ann Jane McAdam.
parents of alexander william Bodle/Bodel born 1849

I am also looking for the parents of Alfred Herbert Murray and also for his DOB. Another thing i cannot find of his is his marriage to Elizabeth Poole.
I believe they had a child in 1887 in wellington (named after his father Alfred) I can find a marriage of a Albert H Murray to an elizabeth poole in wellington the same year and area that the son alfred is born... but the marriage record on nsw bdm says albert h murray not alfred h...
please give me your oppinions :)

i am also looking for birth of elizabeth poole and her parents.

and thankyou in advance for your wonderful help <3

It happens in the best of families. Christian names were often swapped around, so why not surnames!!

Carissa Report 1 Oct 2011 03:31

and yes she definitely lied on the wedding cert , as she has listed the same parents on her wedding cert as are on a death cert i have and the names are just round wrong way but she has also lied about her husbands name he wasnt george wc he wa george fc
but his parents are always listed correctly so they obviously just hid it from her parents..
not good....

oh wow!! sorry i went out to get groceries etc and came back to all of this info!!! You guys are the best!!!
Yes i was assuming she had switched the names on her wedding cert to deter their parents.
I would say this solves the problem i have had all of these years
wooohooo i am so happy thankyou!! it is too too right to be a coincidence!!!!

i had felt guilty calling her naughty ancestor LOL but hmmmmm LOL
thankyou all! you are wonderful
