what a good sleuthing job to read :-)

looking to find news of Freda/Connie after Heather Ann's mother's birth still ... I think?

daughter born 1925 Winchcombe but HA mentions her being brought up in Worcester

Freda Cornwall Jones was the first and no other Freda C Jones until
1912 Toxteth Park
1915 Aston
1916 Cardiff (Freda CM)

so the Freda C Jones marriage in 1925 is very probably her (although could have been a divorced woman whose married name was Jones, but there seems to be no such marriage before 1925)

Marriages Jun 1925
Corfield James R Jones Birmingham N. 6d 1104
Jones Freda C Corfield Birmingham N. 6d 1104

edit 15 April 2014

I had asked Heather Ann to reply that she had copied the info I posted for future ref

since it is now obvious that it is a differen family (Caroline Freda Jones, see thread linked from this one)

and she might want to keep the info as having been ruled out

no reply

info deleted now

Going back to the 1911 census, Mike* is right that Llewellyn is missing, and I couldn't find a birth record to match the 7 yr old Clifford on the census record in Winchcomb.

However I now note Llewellyn's third name began with a 'C'

Births Sep 1902 Jones Llewellyn Edward C Winchcomb 6a 432

So is 'Clifford', actually Llewellyn?

Ie is Llewellyn's full name Llewellyn Edward Clifford Jones?

Admittedly if he is, his age is a bit out on the census.

You've really worked hard on bringing this family forward, JoonieCloonie, lets hope Heather Ann finds all this information illuminating. :-)

Old thread with no helpful info, but maybe the person who posted the request is a relative of yours, Heather Ann?
If you don't recognise the name, you could try clicking on her name and sending her a PM, in case she has any other relevant information. (She won't be looking for replies on her thread after so long - and didn't even come back to it then!)

Argyll Gran, I had not seen that thread, but that is the person (Freda Caroline Jones) I referred to as being in that member's tree here ... I didn't think it fair or necessary to post the other member's full name here (where it can be found by search engines, and remember we are talking about sensitive family matters) ... maybe you would edit ?

the person who wrote that message is indeed descended from the 1925 marriage of Freda C Jones I referred to above

however ... now on reading that thread I fear I may indeed have gone off in the wrong direction

the Freda C Jones who married in 1925 in Birmingham is very likely the Caroline Freda Jones born 1903 in Kings Norton

it was worth consideration but I think this has ruled out that marriage and family

so Heather Ann I would like to delete the information I posted because it seems not to be your family and it is someone else's

would you copy it down for yourself just in case I'm mistaken about that and let us know when you have done that, so I can remove it from this thread?

thank you and sorry that idea didn't work out, one of those wrong turns that was worth investigating but led to a dead end

Edited as requested, JoonieCloonie - although her name is clearly stated on the other thread.
Also on another thread about the same family:

JoonieCloonie Report 11 Apr 2014 15:57

ah yes, sorry, I had looked at the member name and not at how she signed

I guess the main thing is that I'm the one who seems to have gone off in the wrong direction so I don't want to be the one bringing somebody else's family into the mix :-)

seeing your post in Sheila's very old thread ...

http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards/board/ancestors/thread/395254

I had another search around ... wondering about whether maybe she did call herself Connie

I can't find a birth that would account for this death

Name: Connie Freda Byford
Birth Date: 17 May 1905
Date of Registration: Mar 1975
Age at Death: 69
Registration district: Cheltenham
Inferred County: Gloucestershire
Volume: 22
Page: 1660

edit and I will leave this here for just ruling out

she was born Connie Fr*i*eda Allis 1905
