M & D Certs arrived for Arthur Stephen Jackson.....born 1904 Croydon....

Marriage in Hull in 1941. definately not the correct person.

The death found in Hull 1951 I think is th right person....99%
A second opinion would be gratefully received though.

Name .. Arthur Stephen Jackson .. age 47. Plasterer.
Living Hull. informant is a Lily Coombs....present at death...

The name Lily Coombs is not familiar but she does live at the same address.

His occupation I could not say for certain, but most of the Jackson men
seem to have been in the buildings

Thank you

By asking for address check on 7 Hill St. I was hoping to esablish wether it is another member of the Jackson family ie...to see if he was the son of Edward Jackson's brother as opposed to Kathleen's brother
.

Margaret in Sussex

Margaret in Sussex Report 3 Sep 2014 14:06

There were no siblings on the wren side

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 3 Sep 2014 13:54

I'm fully aware of the relationships involved.......

The point I'm trying to convey is that you may be wrong in assuming that the man who is alleged to have died was a Jackson.

Uncles aren't only on one side of a family, and unless you were given the surname, you have to be open-minded

Thak you Jacki.... But it is not a Wren Death It is a Jackson. Stephen Artur is Kathleens Brother. Not Husband.

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 3 Sep 2014 13:49

The 1911 census on page one of this thread shows they were at Union street

Frederick William Wren

Which sight to verify occupants of address please.

Than k you

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 3 Sep 2014 13:37

You could have verified (or not) the so-called info yourself on freebmd without having to spend any money

Could you answer the question about who Kathleen married, please

Margaret in Sussex

Margaret in Sussex Report 3 Sep 2014 13:29

Sorry
Correction..... Kathleen Jackson NOT kathleen Simmonds is M in L

Margaret in Sussex

Margaret in Sussex Report 3 Sep 2014 13:26

Yes Kathleen Jackson is M in L's maiden name.

Because it is so expensive I usually try to limit cert. purchase to direct line. unless there is a problem like this. So , by default I have only my informants say so & 1911 census above that Amy Alice's parent's are John George & Annie Snow.
Is it possible to do an address search for 1901 & 1911 census to see who is resident at 7 Hill St . Croydon..
On Kathleen's BC. she was born at no 6 Hill St. in 1912.
I am wondering .
Edward 1903-1903 ...Born mothers house Leighton St.Died of TB at 18 Union St.
Stephen Arthur born 7. Hill St 1904

Did she go there because she had just lost 1st. born
& wanted family support for 2nd child.
Charles 1906-1906 was born & died Union St.Croydon

Hope this all makes sense.

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 3 Sep 2014 12:14

Do you mean Kathleen Jackson, when you refer to your mother in law?

What was her husband's surname?

Could this uncle have been on his side?

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 3 Sep 2014 12:08

I would advise getting a copy of the death cert for Amy Alice Jackson

There is nothing anywhere to support the marriage info in the tree you were given, other than the 1925 one
