Thank you all so much for spending the time on this....I think I may follow Isabella Greenaway Simpson's mother and siblings further to see where they end up and hope that Isabella stayed near them.
Can anyone help me with a death certificate for her husband James Clark who is listed as 22yrs old on marriage certificate in 1925. His father is James Clark and mother Jane Laurie. He never remarried or had anymore children.
Thanks again.

If he died in Scotland, you'll need SP website

Jacqueline with such a common name you could spend an awful lot of credits on Scotlandspeople before you found the death for Your James Clark unless you know roughly when he died and where he died. Also if he died in the last 50 years you wouldn't be able to view the entry online. The way round that is to go in person to either the Scotlandspeople Centre or the Mitchell Library in Glasgow and search the records. You can search all day for around £15.00. You can look at as many entries as time permits. You can' take printouts of recent records but you can view them and take notes.

Wow rootgatherer thanks for that suggestion...I am actually visiting Glasgow at the end of February so will spend a couple of days at both of these places. James Clark is a hard name to track - especially without a middle name. In the meantime I'll keep searching away for my Isabella Greenaway Simpson...thanks again everyone for your time and help.
