On the birth certificate what was the occupation given for John H? Also, what was the address? Thanks

Peter

Peter Report 21 May 2016 18:08

Unfortunately I only have a copy of the short certificate so there are no details on father or the address

This is a bit of a long shot but, given that Janet remarried, it 'might ' be a possible, as children born after the father died could still have been reg in his name?

As John Henry couldn't have been Lizzie / Rene's father, have you researched William and Lily to see if there is a family connection please?

Yes Rootgatherer I have William and Lily's (I knew her well as my gran) history and can see no blood connection with Lizzie/Rene. I have a personal letter written by Lily reminiscing when William first "collected" Lizzie and took her home.
