Thanks for that rootgatherer... Mmmm my Annie I "think"was born Sunderland q1 1888 .. So that may not be her Or her father :-/

I haven't connected them as yet until I try find her baptism or give in and have to order her birth

thanks for checking Dea..

so still having no joy ..
looks like it may be her with her grandparents above in the 1901 and as mrs hern in 1911
will keep searching to see if i can find anything with her and her father together and if no joy may have to see if i can trawl through the films in local studies and find her baptism

At that address was a Palfreyman family in 1901 and a Renney family in 1911 so not much help there then :-(

afternoon everyone ...

the marriage cert for matthew and annie hilda has just arrived :-)

they were married 27/12/1909 in sunderland congregational church

annies father was a william brown ( deceased) ? looks like spirit merchant ? and the ad she gave was 5 maple street sunderland..

That census is also on Ancestry. Wonder why it isn't on GR? I suspect Hilda has been mistranscribed because of the curious way that the enumerator makes an H and also the fact that he doesn't bother to dot his i's. I suggest you look for the other names in the family.
