Suppose its remotely possible that Catherine had been married to a Booth? But then subsequent children would have been Cottle, wouldn't they?

Gladys - Ploughing through the military record images - were you aware that William Edward Swinyard was a genuine 'Hero'?
He'd been awarded the Military Medal for Bravery in the Field? think it was in 1917. A letter acknowledges this but admits that it wasn't recorded in The Gazette newspaper

Booth Patrick 10901 Private 1st Battalion The Royal Dublin Fusiliers. He died on the 28/04/1915 aged 23. He was born in Dublin. Lived in Dublin enlisted in Naas.

More info about my grandmother. Apparently her maiden name was Cottle. She married and became Booth and then married my grandfather and became Swinyard. As far as I know she had two brothers. Michael and Percy. Michael had a son call Mick who died on the 5/9/1938
