You're quite right, Maddie.

I didn't look closely enough at the 1881 Stonehouse/Miniken census, and assumed that young Robert was Jane's brother, but they're cousins, as you rightly pointed out, and Robert is George's son.

Not if you mean the grandson Robert in 1871, Maddie.

As per my earlier post, he was the son of Elizabeth Miniken.

I'm not sure whose wife she had been. George's brothers John & William are both unmarried in 1871.
