5' 5" on discharge in 1918 - must have been the Army food!

Potty

Potty Report 15 Feb 2017 13:54

On the 1916 Attestation Sheet, marked duplicate. it is definitely Housekeeper although I did see another sheet where it could have been Horsekeeper, which I have looked at again, and it is horsekeeper.

greyghost Report 15 Feb 2017 13:46

His trade on leaving the Lincolnshire Regiment was Musician. On discharge, having served 12 years, his intended place of residence was 84 St ???? Road, New Cross, London SE. I think it says he was a Printer on Attestation in 1899. He was 4' 7"" tall and weighed 67 lbs
The record here says he was born Lewisham, Kent

Potty - your post @ 1203 - is that occupation HORSEkeeper as opposed to Housekeeper??

there is also this record for him in Labour Corps
Edward Breeze
in the British Army WWI Pension Records 1914-1920

Name: Edward Breeze
Gender: Male
Birth Date: abt 1882
Age: 36

Think he started off in the Territorial reserve, transferred to the Middlesex Regt and then to Labour Corps. there are 2 other Service numbers, 1 is the Territorial one which has been scored through and then there is also 79687

Have edited that find to account for both couples I think in 1911 - as below

Frederick George and Emily Cox married 2 years found on 1911 census in Walthamstow
and Joseph and Alice May Garratt married 2 years found Ware, Herts with sister Eileen Armstrong visiting

ArgyllGran

ArgyllGran Report 15 Feb 2017 12:54

Potty - re the 1908 marriage - yes, they are, but there are still three brides and two grooms on that record.

But anyway, Greyghost later showed that that Alice married either Joseph Garratt or Frederick Cox.
