Names - you said a tree on Ancestry showed Bert having a daughter named Marjorie.

Which tree was that, please?
He's in 10 trees - 5 private and 5 public, but I don't see mention of Marjorie.

I'm also not seeing Bert and Emily with a Marjorie in 1945 - is that in an ER on Ancestry?

Here's Bert in 1945 - but on his own:

Bert Slinton-Johnson
in the Sutton, Surrey, England, Electoral Registers, 1931-1970
Name Bert Slinton-Johnson
Year 1945
Parliamentary Division Beddington and Wallington, Surrey, England
House Number 28
Reference Number 011
Address: 28 The Drive, Mitcham.

There's a Daphne Stinton-Johnson with him below (assuming this is the same man, with such an unusual name):

Bert Stinton-Johnson
in the Westminster, London, England, Electoral Registers, 1902-1970
Name Bert Stinton-Johnson
Residence Date 1955
Residence Street Address 3 Stanhope Place
Residence Place Paddington, London, England

They're also there in 1956.

She's also with Bert in 1964;

Daphne Stinton-Johnson
in the Westminster, London, England, Electoral Registers, 1902-1970
Name Daphne Stinton-Johnson
Residence Date 1964
Residence Street Address 236 Randolph Avenue
Residence Place London, England

In 1965-69 Bert's there on his own.

As Emily died in 1961, in Cheshire, and is commemorated ONLY with her daughter, perhaps Daphne took her place?

Bert’s death was registered in St Marylebone. London

Yes, apparently another unofficial partner.

I've just found Bert and Emily with a Marjorie in 1945 - but her surname is Gray, so not necessarily any relation.

Johnson Bert Stinton
in the Liverpool, England, Electoral Registers, 1832-1970
Name Johnson Bert Stinton
Residence Year 1945
Street Address Childwall Park Avenue 39
Residence Place Lancashire, England
Electoral District Liverpool, Wavertree, West Derby, Garston

AG. I’ve not double checked but I think the tree was named Vent. It appeared to be private but wasn’t completely.

I'm still not seeing it, Names.

However, not to worry!
It was only a bit of fun, to see who that "Johnson Port Steaton" in 1939 was!

It may simply be another of the countless inaccurate trees on Ancestry

The only daughter whose existence has so far been proved is Patricia

It was a good brain workout, with the boards being so quiet, AG ;-) ;-)
