Perhaps the doubt you raised about Joseph's birth in Somerset is explained by the presence of a visitor (?older brother) from Long Sutton - family migration to find work, perhaps? Hiya I was wondering if you could try and find any record of a Thomas Glover, born possibly around 1885. He married a Louisa Essex dob unknown. They had a child called Florence Glover dob 2th May 1905 possibly in Leicester. Hi Pen, I don't have the excuse of hot weather today so I shall just have to own up to the addiction! Another of my longshot ideas involves a William Strickland born in the Mar Qtr 1841 in the moors just north of Pickering, Yorks. In IGI he is shown with a mother Martha Strickland so no acknowledged father. Please could you see if they are in the 1841 and if there is some handsome farm hand standing nearby looking sheepish??
