There is no source given for the marriage on Ancestry tree but I think that is the wrong one. Just look at the names of James and Annie's children. They have a John and a Grace. I think the birth that I have posted is more likely to be your Annie.

Can you tell us who she names as her parents on the marriage registration please?

John Butchart's marriage and death registrations are on Ancestry. He died in 1876 and his wife Grace Ross died in 1881

I note that on the 1939 Register James gave his date of birth as 19 Jan 1866

There is this birth in India with that date

The mother's surname is definitely Quin. The capital Q is written in the old fashioned way. ( I'm old enough to remember it lol)

So the tree on Ancestry certainly has the wrong parents for Annie Butchart. Her parents are John Butchart and Grace Ross. There's a copy of their marriage certificate on Ancestry also their death certificates. Her father died 1876 and mother 1881.

Jude - it did say that his Mother was deceased on James the younger's Marriage Certificate perhaps she had already died by the 1881 census?

Just looking at the record of the Baptism that I gave in my 13:17 post again and note that it took place in the Catholic Church in Meerut.

Yes you are correct AustinQ...these Quinn's have me crossed eyed !! Can you check the 1881 Census (I don't have access) and see where James Quinn son of James Quinn (27yrs) was born...Catherine aged 40 couldn't possibly be his mother.
Can you decifer the mmn of Mary on the Marriage of Anne and James Dunne...
