Looking for Maud BAITRUM who married Frederick H C GARNER in 1925. They had two children, Helen in 1926 in the Brentford area and Joseph in 1931 in the Hackney area - and then she seems to have disappeared. I can't find her in the 1939 census, Frederick was at 40 Granville Road, Spelthorne, Feltham. Frederick had 3 sons with Emma K COCKRAM - 1931, 1932 and 1937 - and eventually married Emma in 1948. I'd be very grateful for any help you can give, please.

Are you saying that Frederick had a son, Joseph with Maud in 1931 and a son with Emma the same year?

I don't have access but I doubt this person is living alone:

Thanks Safc- is she listed at a school? She'd only be 13

18 Elmer gardens sounds more like a residential address to me. There are very few of the records open on that page - most are closed.

Helen married in 1952.

Perhaps Maud went on to live with someone else without marrying him and was therefore known by another name???

There is a note on Helen's entry 'see page 9'

I don't know how to get to page 9?

KathleenBell

KathleenBell Report 2 Apr 2016 17:36

There are only 7 pages in that group of images (Helen is on page 5), so I don't know which page 9 they mean either.

There is also a note above the address on Helen's record. I think the first says 9 BLA (BLA is the code for Heston and Isleworth). Not sure what the other numbers or letters mean.

Sorry, this record is officially closed. Check if you can open a closed record.
Louisa Millier 02 Dec 1873 Female Un Dom Duties Single 103 4 (this lady is at number 16 next door to the Garner family)

Looks like the schedule was a little 'cocked up' !

Edit: This looks like Fredericks parents, Helen's grandparents

I have no idea if this is relevant or not!
A private Ancestry tree has a Maud Baitrum 'born abt 1900 England' spouse Joseph Bickley (same vague birth details). As her name is very unusual, maybe worth checking out?
It sort of implies they married abroad, I suppose!
