Good Afternoon everyone
Please could I ask for help with: The family of Josiah crook and mary crook (nee Hulme) they were married July 1872 in Manchester.Josiah does a vanishing act after 1881 to find gold I suppose in mexico ( I have this info somewhere) On the 1911 census Josiah's brother: Richard crook takes the lead as head of the household and he fathers a baby with mary crook (nee Hulme) she is : Elizabeth Alice Crook born 1894 in Salford..They state that 11 children were alive.8 are still living and 3 have died
These are the children of Josiah and mary:

William h 1879 ( whome I cannot find :-| )

its all quite baffling as to whome the children belong to after 1881 :-S

So if Josiah has done a runner after the 1881 census when they only had 3 children the I would get the Birth cert of the next child born before 1883 to see who the father is

He may have gone walkabout soon after the 1881 census

There is a Richard. 1883 and a Florence 1884. So where does she fit in

Did you mean Elizabeth Alice born 1894 not 1884 as that is the only one born in Salford between 1880 & 1899
