please can some-one help me with this "Josia crook" on 1901 census. he is driving me mad..he was born 1849ish ,in manchester,lancashire,,i am told his name is mispelt as "Josia"but i am going round the bend with searching him out....or i am just loosing the plot totally...lol

a possibility Ginny...will keep it in mind

Josiah Crook married Mary Hulme on the 14th July 1872 at Manchester Cathedral

This was most likely to one of the days when they did mass marriages

A lot of couples found that it was cheaper to be married there instead of paying for 2 sets of banns to be published at their respective parish churches

i also cannt find that marriage for richard &mary in 1889.as they did say they had been marreid 22yrs on 1911 census.....why would they say this they were actually not married and if josiah (1850) was still around
