No worries Chris- it says she was a nurse in the asylum. I have contacted the archives there to see if there is anymore info on her, employment records etc.

I'm going to order what I think is the correct birth cert for Louisa Cole and see what that says

Found Annie Muriel New she was living in Brighton under the name of Smith in 1939 - she married an Arthur W Smith in 1971
