Mary Iona Hunneysett first married to a Thomas E J Lee 1941 Buckrose Yorkshire
So from this I am guessing at she was born about 1920. The only info I have been given is that she came to England when she was about 3 years old but I have not been able to find this. From what info I have her mother was a Emma or Emmie Arksey 1882 who married a Ernest Gray in 1906 and died as Emmie Hunneysett in 1949 and Mary Iona Dring has she became was mentioned on probate

How her mother went to Canada and when she married a Hunneysett is the mystery
any ideas would be appreciated.

Yep- that 1939 fits the marriage and military record- so it seems that the Emma Arksey that married Ernest Gray is not the same Emma that was mother to Mary Iona

Yes- marriage already posted (twice) above- It doesn't look like the Emma that married Ernest Gray is the same lady that had daughter Mary Iona Hunnyset

The info is great. Is it possible that Emma married Samuel in Canada and there is a marriage record which would prove she was either a Arksey or a Gray or some other name when she married Samuel.
Sorry to be a pain but I would love to give my friend some info to search further back.
