Hi, My Grandmother Margaret Murfitt nee Stone/Jones (AKA Peggy) died a few years ago. Nan was born c1912. She was brought up by her maternal maiden aunt Lillian Stone. Her Father was apparently called Jones and it is felt that their family owned chemists in Manor Park, London.Nan married my Grandfather Herbert (Bert) Murfitt and went on to have 2 sons one being my father James. Because of family secrets it has been hard over the years to trace my ancestry via my grandmothers family and all family are no longer here to tell. I am interested if anyone knew of Peggy, her family and where they originated from. My father was a great storyteller and wind up but unfortunately died leaving me pondering over where I'm really from. Am I really the descendant of a highwayman or a member of the Raj. Who knows. Do you? Lisa
