Member Since: March 2005 Posts: 2 Send Message	My maternal ancestors came from Kalvarja, Russian Poland, now Lithuania. My grandfather was Hirtz Abrahamsohn, born in 1843. Why he became Harris on the French documents in my possession is a mystery ! did he first come to England or even go to America ?? anyway, he married Rosalie Reiss (from Germany) in Paris in 1881..... his father was Abraham and his mother Sara Loeb (or Laeb?) - unfortunately that's all I know for the time being but would welcome any information.
