My great-grandfather on my mothers side, born c1901, had a daughter called Joyce. All I seem to be able to find are alot older than him. Please If you have any info on him, can you get in touch?!

Where?

There are 6 Joyces born 1919 - 1928 for example.

Jemma

Joyce A Adcock birth Sept 1932 Nottingham Vol 7b page 564, mother maiden name Fulwood.

Marriages Dec 1925 Nottingham 7b 815

Adcock William R spouse Fulwood

Fulwood Lilian spouse Adcock

Then if you order a copy of that certificate you should find lots more info about the couple including their fathers inf which helps track them on the census.

Apologies if that is "suck eggs"

Regards

Dave

So you don't know where any of these people were born?

Jemma

Jemma Report 15 Feb 2008 21:40

James was born in Wolverhampton
Laura in Warwickshire
Glen in Warickshire (I think)
And Ella and Tracey in Nottingham

I think William's daughter Joyce was born in Leistershire judging on records, but the mothers maiden name was Lynch, so it's a bit confusing as I thought it was Adams.

Could the Nottingham example I used above be in the right area then.

There was a William Robert Adcock born in 1904 in Basford.

Maybe as my family have lived in Nottingham for years, I am unsure as to where he was born as alot of my family have been in the army and moved all over the country. Thank you for your help, I shall check it out! :) x
