Does anyone know of or have any details of an Ada / Ida Addison. I know she was born in the UK. Her father was a Sea Captain. She married a John Charles Chambers about 1880-1884 The lived in the Cape, South Africa. Any help, no matter how small, would be much appreciated. Many thanks. Sharon

Interesting - I am researching Thomas Addison - here is an email from someone who has given me some info where an Ada Addison is mentioned. I am sure there are links somewhere! Anyway, coincidence, I am a descendant of TF Addison (my great grandfather) who arrived in Cape Town, South Africa around 1906. Adam may have been an aunt of his. Long shot though.

Here's that email content:

Dear Mike,
Thanks for the letter which was forwarded to me from my old address, which I left 4 years ago!
I presume you got the address from the family search site of the Latter Day Saints. The only trouble with that site is that once you enter information you are nor able to amend it or delete it in any way. Anyway here goes with the details you requested.
Ada Ann Addison born 1886, Martha Addison born 18 Jan 1890 (My grandmother), John Addison born 1894, Stanley Addison born 1898. (Parents of these 4 John Addison & Ada Emily Dumbell)
William Addison born 1856, Martha Jane born 26 Jan 1860, Ann born 16 Feb 1862, John born 21 May 1865 (My great-grandfather), Charles born 1868, James born 14 Jan 1869, Peter born 1871. (Parents of these 7 John Addison & Anne Hamilton Gerrard)
James Addison born 1816, Charles born 1819, Thomas born 1823, Jane born 1830, John born 3 Jun 1863 ( my great-great-grandfather), Ann born 1836, Elizabeth born 1837. (Parents of these 7 Thomas Addison & Jane Winterbottom).

Could you possibly advise me how can I find birth details for people born in Durban in the 1970's? All I know is their names and that they were born some time between 1973 and 1980.
