Find Ancestors

Can you help please.

My Grandfather Albert George Patient B1899 shows up on the 1901 census with his brothers Walter, Charles, James and sister Lily born in Hackney. Mother shown as Mary Ann Patient who i believe was born in Shoreditch London c1868 but no maiden name and there doesnt seem to be a husband for Mary

Im trying to trace the Patient's back for my mother.

I remember being told we go way back to East Thaxted and then possibly to France !

Anyone can help me i would be really pleased.

I have found the marriage of Walter Patient to MARY ANN ROLPH.......

Registerd June qtr 1895/Holborn/volume 1b page 1173.........

I think you will find, that Mary Ann was a widow, and that the 11 year old Charles E on the 1901 census is a stepson.......

Hello again

Walter Patient was baptised June 1869, at Dunmow, Essex. His father was Charles, and his mother Hannah........

He died Dec 14th 1953, and is buried at City of London cemetery, Ilford. Grave 114408. Square 242

You can see him with his parents and siblings on the familysearch.org website (1881 census)

Mary Ann, was Mary Ann Baker, before she married Arthur Rolph
