As far as I know the Atwill's,spelt the way I have, were originally Tin Miners. When the Tin Mines "dried up" they became coal mine workers. I am looking for a connection between the coal mines round Durham, preferably Houghton-le-Spring and Hetton-le-Hole, and the Tin Mines of Devon,Cornwall to help trace part of my own family tree. I am not really bothered about meeting anyone, but would appreciate any info anyone could give on-line. |
