I am trying to find a definate connection between the William.J. Atwill recorded in the 1901 census, living in Lambton Street with his parents Robert and Elizabeth, and Maurice Atwill Who married Florence Lawrence. I believe the William J Atwill fom this census could be my Great Grandad, but have no definate proof.I know my Great Grandad was called William John Atwill and he married Ada Anderson and they had 6 Children, Gladys, Polly, Ada, Robert,Thomas and Maurice. They all came from Houghton-le-Spring.Maurice Atwill had 2 daughters and 1 son. Florence Atwill was the eldest and grew up to marry Tom Williams.Sylvia and Maurice were born in 1947,Twins. Sylvia is my mother and moved away from Durham when she met my Father Graham Holden. If anyone can help me find this connection please let me know. Thanks Andy Holden.
