We recently have been clearing out my grand parents house and have found a letter from a L or Z Ayres to his father dated 1913, the letter was sent from Iowa USA. it was around the same time as my grandfather, Frank Ayres, was born i do know that my great grandfather William Knights Ayres was married once before to Mary, and they had a daughter called Florie, however after his secound marriage to Ellen Claypole we have no idea what happened to her. I was wondering if anyone knew who this other child was? The Ayres family have continued to live in Godmanchester and the Huntingdon area throughout. Any information or connections please contact me.
