I have the death notice for :- 'Mr F.A.Badman Mr Frederick Alfred Badman, whose death is announced at his residence, Fernroyd, Victoria Road, Acock's Green, at the age of 73, came to Birmingham about 56 years ago from Weston-super-Mare, and was a prominent member of the tobacco trade. He was the founder of the United Tobacconists Association and for many years president. He was also president of the Birmingham and District Tobacconists Trade and Benevolent Association. Mr Badman was well known in Blackpool, where he was chairman of the directors of the Winter Gardens and Pavilion Company Limited, he was also director of Catterall's and Swarbrick's Brewery Limited.' This links Frederick Alfred Badman to 'Blackpool' - 'Birmingham' - 'Weston-super-Mare'. I also have copies of his parents marriage certificate, his birth certificate, and photographs of his headstone. Does anyone have anything to add. Philip |
