Baker's from the Portsmouth and Southampton areas. If anyone as the following Baker's in their family tree I would love to hear from you. Robert Baker b abt 1820ies=m Martha Goodchild lived at 3 peel street,Southsea in 1848, Robert was a mariner. They hadCharles (Chas.) Edward Baker b 17/2/1848-he later became a sailor then a Gen.Lab.living in 1881 with his wife Marina Barstow at 65 Grove Street,St Mary, Southampton,Hants They had the following children Edward Purdy Baker b 1870 Southsea Rosina b1871 Southsea Elizabeth Martha Goodchild Baker b1872 Southsea Charles Frederick b 1873 Southsea Thomas b1875 Southsea William b1876 Southsea Dick(possibly Richard) b1879 Southsea Albert b1881ish Southsea Frederick b1881ish Southampton Robert b1885 Southampton James b1887 Freemantle Southampton Ernest Cecil b1889 Southampton Johnb1891 Freemantle, Southampton in 1901 the following children were still living with their parents at 30 Kent Road ,Shirley, Southampton. charles Frederick b1873 occup.
