Joseph Bennett (Father)
Joseph Charles Bennett c1850 Whitechape (Son)
I am trying to find any information on Joseph Bennett and his son Joseph Charles Bennett. Joseph Charles Bennett was born about 1850 in Whitechapel, London and married Eliza Royce in 1874 in Whitechapel. They had 8 children Eliza, Mary Ann, Jane, Matilda, Kate, Joseph, Susan & George all born in St George in the East, London. I have tried looking at the 1841 census but with no luck – too many Bennett’s. If it is any help on Joseph & Eliza marriage certificate it states that Joseph senior was a Carman. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks June for all the census info. The 1881, 1891 & 1881 all check out right. The 1861 & 1871 census look like the same family with Joseph senior and Joseph Charles (his age is about right) and I think my next step would be to get Joseph Charles birth certificate to find out if his mother's name is Helen/Ellen.
