I am looking to find any information about my grandparents. My Grandad was Maurice Bishop born in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, 3rd December 1919, Died suddenly at home in Hillsbough, Sheffield on 29 October 1981. He married my Grandmother Joyce Marsh, (B9/09/1922 D 24/12/1996) on 1 August 1942. They had 4 Kids, Eileen (now Farrell) Barry, Pauline (now Anson) & Denice (now Burgin) My grandad mother was married twice. He had 12 or 13 siblings, I only know the names of 4, Susan, Anne (both beleived to be to the first marriage so may not be bishops) Charles or Charley, & Alf. My Nan had 1 brother Dennis, and 1 sister Ivy all who are still alive in Cleethorpes, and 1 who died Lilly My Great gram (my grandmothers mum) is still alive at 102 and lives in a home in Cleethorpes!!!! My Grandad was a great Man, he was well known in Hillsbrough as a wonderful singer, and often sang on stage at Bradfield Road Working mens Club I would really love to hear from anyone who knew him and especially other Bishops who just may be related Thank you |
