ok,
I had a look on the IGI for you but I couldnt see anything, will keep looking for you though. do you have james & Charlotte's marriage cert? that would have his father's name on it.

Hi Adam,
I had a look through a lot of 1841 census entries, there are LOADS of possibles! but none fit perfectly.
I think the only way you can narrow it down is to order his marriage cert so that you know what his father's name was. then hopefully you can find him living with his father in 1841. sorry I cant be more help,
good luck,
L :o)

Hi Laura

Many Thx for your help. This particular person is very new to me. In fact the whole Blackman side of the family is new to me and it is hugh!

I think I will indeed have to order the necessay certificates.

We found out that my Great Grandfather was not really who it said he was and so have a whole new family to find out about. Its all very exciting

Many Thx once again for your help
All The Best
Adam
