I am trying to trace my maternal Great Grandfather, James Brennan. We believe he was born around 1860 in Kiltamagh, Co. Mayo. We also think he had 7 brothers of whom 6 may have gone to Chicago along with their only sister. the 7th brother, Patrick, was last heard of in Coventry. James came to England and settled at Sandhill, near Middle Claydon in Bucks, where he worked as a Gardener. In 1882 he married Catherine Bandy. They had 5 children. Cathering died in 1894 and James remarried to Elizabeth Jane Percival in July 1895. They went on to have 4 children, Stanley Robert Victor born 8th April 1908 was my Grandfather. James died 21st May 1946. Any links to other family members would be appreciated. |
