Trying to find Brisbane

Norman Report 27 Oct 2004 02:56

I am trying to find details of John Brisbane (Or Brisben). I have a record of John Brisben born in Leith, Midlothian, Scotland on 7th June 1860 but I am convinced this record is a mis-spelled Surname. The record quotes parents as James Brisben and Margaret McDonald. However I have established records of Sarah Margaret Brisbane and a Charles Brisbane, probably siblings of John, both of whom were born in Leith and whose parents are recorded as James Brisbane and Margaret McDonald. The similarity of parentage is too close to be coincidence. I would be delighted if any descendants of John Brisbane or Brisben could be located.
