I am trying to find MARIA KEMP alias KEMP who was born in Leiston, Suffolk 1820. She was the illigitimate daughter of Sophia Kemp and Henry BROWN (Sailor) and this couple were to marry later that same year and have a further 3 children in their Aldeburgh, Suffolk home. Henry Kemp died in 1830 and I would very much like to know if anyone has information regarding Maria Kemp after that date.
I know that she was in jail in Ipswich for failing to disclose the birth of a female infant after being found not guilty of the manslaughter of the child and then released 31/03/1845 but have totally lost her after that.
I have checked Free BMD for marriages or deaths and also the Leiston and Aldeburgh parish registers. Can anyone out there throw up an explanation please? Thanks in advance for any help
