Edward Robert Burgess - died 1881

I am trying to find any descendants of my late Great Grandfather, Edward Robert Burgess, a Sergeant in the 1st Royal Dragoons who died when he was only 36 years of age. I'm not sure how many siblings in the family but know that his Father (my Great Great Grandfather, Thomas Burgess, was a Surgeon in the Royal Navy. Any information would be very welcome.
