Seeking any information that might identify William Watson Cameron, Likely that he was born before 1897 or very soon after. He is listed on two marriage certificates as 'Gentleman Farmer'. He farmed sheep and had associations with the Prestwick/Scotland and Barnard Castle areas, His son Norman was born to Ethel Cameron in Bishop Auckland 1917. (She later married a Londoner by the name of Morgan and had 3 more children. There were associations with a Watson family near Barnard Castle. William Watson Cameron's date of death was 28th November 1944. Could be 1943 or 1945 - year is difficult to read in pencil but 1944 is most likely. I have no evidence of where. He has not been found in deaths in England and Wales or Scotland. Any suggestons would be very welcome. |
