I am trying to find more info about my grand-father-Frank (Francis??)Carter. The first I know of him was that he was in Sheffield in 1932. he may well have disappeared from some-one else's tree at this time. Possibly born in 1890s. May have connections with Somerset, but no proof of this.

Any information gratefully received!!

Hi Denise,

I know this is a long shot but we could be linked somewhere, I have a fair few Francis Carters in my tree and it's not a very common name so it's possible your Francis could be the descendant of one of my ancester's siblings.

I'd be happy to exchange information to see if there is a link

Best Wishes
Sarah
