Clancy/Clancey/Clansey I'm researching my family history, and have discovered that my Great-Grandma Mary Ann Byron(Clancy) who was supposed to have come from Kilkenny in Ireland was actually born in Manchester in 1872.She married Walter Byron in Manchester in 1896(he was born in the midlands) and one of the witnesses was her sister Catherine Clancey.Mary Ann had lots of children and I believe that some Grandchildren or Gt-Grandchildren may be researching too,so I hope this is of some help,I have other information if anyone doing the same research wants to get in touch. Mary Ann's dad was called James and was born in Fermanagh in 1836,her Mum was called Catherine (McNulty) born at Beggars Bush Barracks in 1842. |
