Does anyone have access to, or can tell me how to access Canada 1911 census. I am trying to find out if my grandad's uncle Herbert Cleaver had any children when he emigrated to Canada.

If anyone can help, please let me know.

Many thanks

Angela

HI Angela, can you give me any more details about Herbert, such as any dates, where he was born etc as i have looked at the 1911 canada census and can only find records of children with the name herbert cleaver, one being born in 1901 in new brunswick and the other being 4yrs old.

Herbert was born in Kent 1893, emigrated to Canada in 1911 on the Royal George, and married Amy Jane Hayward on 2/11/1912

Hi again Angela, Having looked through all the records i can get access to i cannot find him, his wife or any children in any of them. I only have access to BMD records from Ontario though so he probably lived somewhere other than this. Only Canadian census records upto 1911 are available to me and he isn't listed so he must have arrived after the census was taken.

Give this site a try.......

I hope you find this more helpfull.
Good luck with your search and sorry to have not been able to help more.

I am also looking for a Herbert Cleaver who emigrated to Canada. Was not married when he went and was from Cardiff though the Cleaver's started life in Oxfordshire. Herbert had about 10 siblings and one of them was my g/g/father
