Clipston family, East Northamtonshire

Member Since: March 2007 Posts: 33 Send Message	I am trying to trace my ancestry through the Clipston family, but there is nobody alive now with any knowledge. My grandmother was Emily Clipston, sister of George, Percy, Nan, Maud, and Jack. George was married to Lizzie, lived at Hanging Houghton, and was a shepherd at Lamport, the others lived in Oundle. I do have a recollection I was told that Emily was in service at Blatherwyke Hall before she was married - she married Herbert Sharpe and for some time lived in South Kensington, London, where my father was born, but they moved back to Peterborough around the 1920s or 30s. That is all the information I have, I do not even know who my grandmother's parents were. Hope someone can help. Herbert Sharpe

	If you find your grans birth a certificate should name her parents By the way the age differnces are normal from census to census as sometimes the enumerator rounded them up or down
