My name is Graham Leslie Cloake, 1952 Harrogate son of Dennis Raymond Cloake 1927 of Knaresborough and Grandson of John Thomas Cloake 1895of Hythe in Kent, Great Grandson of John Thomas Cloake 1866 of Hythe in Kent and Great Great grandson of William Cloake 1841 Saltwood in Kent . Hi Graham, I'm Roger Cloake b.1948 London, now in Worthing. Cloakes seem to have originated in Kent; I was aware of an enclave in Yorkshire - started by your father? Have you been in touch with Dan Cloake of Eastbourne (he has started a "Cloake" group on Facebook)? From his family tree details, I think you might be more closely connected with him than me; his tree & mine seem to have separated pre-about 1700, but were all in Kent for a long time after that. |
