I am tracing the Cooper or Cowper family tree in and around the Coventry, West Midlands area. From the present day back to about 1850 they came from Coventry. From 1850 back to 1790 they came from Foleshill, Nr, Coventry. 1790 back to 1663 they came from Chilvers Coton Nr, Nuneaton. I have a record of Thomas Cooper b. 1663 in Chilvers Coton, and his father was also Thomas born in Coleshill 1644, wifes name Elizabeth b 1645. I am now looking for the father and mother of Thomas b. 1644 in or around the Coleshill area. His name maybe Henry b. about 1624 or a little earlier. Do you have any info. concerning Cooper or Cowper from Coleshill area around the early 1600's. Many thanks Norman Cooper. |
