Hi,

My bunch originated in Makrse.

My Great-Great-Great Grandfather John Day, a Stone Mason born about 1791(ish) and lived in Guisborough & Whitby according to 1841 Census married to May ? born about 1780 with two sons living with them at the time of the Census - John 25 born c1816 and Robert 15 born c1826 in Marske.

In the 1871 Census, Robert had married a Margaret ? lived in Marske with family - daughter Elizabeth 11, John 9, Robert Dixon 4, George H 2 and William 2Mo.

By the 1901 Robert Dixon 32 had married Mary R ? 28 and now lived in Knottingley nr Leeds with their children John b1897 and William b1899. John went on to marry Edna Howard of Leeds b1901 and had 3 children - one was my father Robert Dixon b1932.

Anyone know of the origins of the Days in Marske please?
