Hi - I am requesting some advice from you rather than giving you some. My mothers name was Janet Petty, born 1923 from Ida Petty - but she has another name Ida Dewhurst.

Lincoln, Nesta, Colin and Donald were all relatives of Ida and I remember visiting Lincoln Dewhurst at his farm in Laneshawbridge, inbetween Colne and Trawden. My mum had a half sister called Ruth Gawthrop........confused yet? Same mother - Ida.

Does this ring any bells with you?

Hope we can help each other here.

Thanks

Janet
