Member Since: February 2005 Posts: 0 Send Message	Is anyone researching Thomas Dewhurst who lived in Rawtenstall.in 1861. Born 1828. Married my g.g.grandmother Mary Nutter around 1850. She had a illigitimate son called John who was raised with Thomas & Mary's children - Isaac, Jane Anne, Thomas, Greenwood, Sarah Alice.. They moved to Nelson area by 1871 Thomas and Mary were both born in Trawden, Lancs.

My mothers name was Janet Petty, born 1923 from Ida Petty - but she has another name Ida Dewhurst. Lincoln, Nesta, Colin and Donald were all relatives of Ida and I remember visiting Lincoln Dewhurst at his farm in Laneshawbridge, inbetween Colne and Trawden. My mum had a half sister called Ruth Gawthrop........confused yet? Same mother - Ida. Does this ring any bells with you? Hope we can help each other here. Thanks Janet
