Well seems like I'm the only one searching for a Digsby!!! My Great Grand Mother was Fanny Susannah Digsby born Bromley, London in 1839. She married my Gt Grandfather George Haggar and had at least 10 children including my Grandma Mary Ann. Fanny Susannah's Father was John Digsby born in 1815 in Hackney He was married to a Mary Ann (maiden name unknown) born in Linton Cambridge. Any info please? Am am so facsinated by this line of my family Thanks Jane

Hi Jane

I am a Hamshere by birth.

I have a Mary Ann Digsby marrying my G G Grandfather William Hamshere on 12 Jan 1861 in Bromley. He was born around October 1835.

On their Marriage Cert, both their ages are given as "Full" which I believe means over 21. Her Father is given as John Digsby - Miller. Witnesses were James Edwards and Emma Mann. Emma Mann married a Brother of William Hamshere's, John Shaw Hamshere on 21st Dec 1862. Do any of these people ring any bells?

Please feel free to contact me at [email protected], as I'm terrible at accessing message boards.

Regards
