The surname Ennion is Welsh in origin. The early Ennion's of our family lived in Cheshire in the villages of Hatton, Handley, Waverton and Saighton. My branch of the family moved to Lancashire before settling in Over Hulton then Egerton Bolton. The family is now spread far and wide and our family tree's been researched by a fantastic relative in New Zealand who's got information going back to 1770. Please get in touch if you want to see if your on the family tree

Hi, I am one of very few Ennions living in New Zealand. My father was Arthur Ennion 2nd son of Robert who was born 26/8/1878 and married to Mary Eleanor Hampton. My Great grandfather was also Robert, born 14/2/1851 and married to Martha Colclough. After their marriage they lived in chequerbent Street, Over Hulton before moving to New Zealand in 1907. I would be interested to find out if it the same family and who the relative in New Zealand is. Regards Valerie Nicholson (nee Ennion).
