Member Since: April 2007 Posts: 4 Send Message	I am trying to find out about my husband's Great grandfather.In 1883 he is listed as a Sergeant Instructor of the First Volunteer Battalion Lancs Fusiliers. He was married to Margaret (Nee Ahern) and lived in Bury Lancs. They had a daughter Gertrude born in 1883. Thanks June Randall

Member Since: January 2017 Posts: 1 Send Message	Hello June - It sounds as if your husband's great-grandfather Richard Thomas Faulkner is my great-great-grandfather (my connection is through his son Frederick Arthur Faulkner, born in 1880 in India).. Much of the information I see above is correct to my knowledge. One note - in some of the records Richard's wife's Margaret's maiden name is given as AHEM, but I believe it was AHERN (just an error in transcribing from the lower case, I suppose). 	Grant You have responded to an old thread and it's unlikely that the poster is still a member as they only posted 4 times You could try to make contact by clicking on their name and sending a message If they still have the same email address they will receive the email and can respond You may not receive any response though if the poster is no longer active
